Situated in a private bay, the Te Tiare Beach Resort is reached by a 35 minute flight from Tahiti’s Faa’a International airport. Visible from Raiatea, Taha’a and Bora Bora, Huahine is composed of two volcanic islands - Huahine Nui & Huahine Iti, which are joined together by a bridge at a narrow isthmus.

Touring the island, you will begin to discover Huahine’s magnificent variety of exotic plants. Vanilla, noni fruit, watermelon and taro plantations abound, while breadfruit, mango, banana and papaya groves may be found throughout the island. You may pass a local fisherman selling his daily catch along the road. Be sure to experience the local farmer’s market in the village of Fare.

Air Access: Major airlines with service to the Tahiti’s Faa’a International airport include; Air Tahiti Nui, Air France, Hawaiian Air, Air New Zealand, Aircalin and Lan Airlines. The resort is only 8 hours from the North America gateway, Los Angeles International Airport. Air Tahiti is the inter-island carrier with daily flights throughout the islands.

Transfers: The Te Tiare is only accessible by boat. Upon arrival at the Huahine airport, our representative will meet you and provide transfer to our boat launch site located in the main village of Fare. From there it is a 15-minute ride through the lagoon. The one-way transfer per person is €16.76. While at the resort, we offer complimentary shuttles to and from Fare.

The Te Tiare will make every effort to accommodate an early arrival or late departure.

Local Currency: The French Pacific franc (CFP) is the official currency. Credit cards are also accepted at most establishments. Two ATMs are located in the village of Fare.

Entry Requirements: A valid passport is required.

Language: French and Tahitian are the official languages although English is spoken and understood in most tourist areas.

Climate: French Polynesia enjoys warm, tropical weather year round. The average yearly temperature is 79 Fahrenheit. The ocean and lagoon average 75 Fahrenheit year round.

Electrical Equipment: The current is 220 volts. The Te Tiare Beach Resort also has 110 outlets in all of our guestrooms.

Internet: Wifi is available in the lobby.
